Introduction

SubscriptionsMagic ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Data Collection

What we collect:

• Subscription information you enter (names, prices, dates)
• Monthly ratings you provide
• App preferences and settings

What we DON'T collect:

• Payment or banking details
• Location data
• Contacts or photos
• Browsing history or usage analytics

Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive:

• A unique user identifier provided by Apple
• Your name and email (only if you choose to share them)

This information is stored locally on your device only (in UserDefaults). It is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

AI-Powered Insights

When you use the AI optimization feature, the following data is sent to our secure backend server:

• Subscription names (e.g. "Netflix", "Spotify")
• Monthly price and currency
• Billing period (monthly, yearly, etc.)
• Subscription status (active, canceled, etc.)
• Category (video, music, etc.)

No personal data (Apple ID, email, name, device identifiers) is included in these requests.

Our backend processes this data using OpenAI API to generate optimization tips. The data is used only for processing the request and is not stored on our servers. Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for how they handle API data.

Data Storage

All your subscription data is stored locally on your device using iOS standard secure storage.

We do not currently offer cloud synchronization. Your data exists only on the device where you entered it.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases. Transaction information is handled by Apple.
• Our Backend Server (AWS): For AI-powered optimization tips and popular subscription catalog. Only subscription metadata is sent (see "AI-Powered Insights" above).
• Google Favicon Service: To fetch service logos by domain name. No user data is sent — only the domain name of the service (e.g. "netflix.com").
• DuckDuckGo Favicon Service: As a fallback for service logos. Same as above — only the domain name.

In-App Purchases

SubscriptionsMagic offers optional Pro subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your credit card details, billing address, or Apple ID payment information.

Local Notifications

The app sends local notifications to remind you about trial expirations and upcoming billing dates. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication.

Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by:

• Deleting individual subscriptions within the app
• Signing out (removes local Apple ID data)
• Deleting the app itself (removes all local data)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
